I ordered several party trays for a event and couldn't have been happier with not only the trays but the great customer service Sonnenberg's Market provided! The trays were overloaded with food and everything was fresh and presented beautifully! The price was less then most big box stores or retail grocery chains and the quality and variety outstanding!

They have good quality meat for less. The service is also good. Theygo out of their way to give you what you want.

If you need a cheap sandwich that taste immaculate, you need to come by Sonneberg! Their deli customer service it's always phenomenal, they're always willing to cut fresh slices of deli meat for you. Sandwiches are only affordable, but they're completely packed at the gils with meat cheese, and all the other items you used to add. They truly don't skimp:) I know the store can be a bit interesting but it's definitely worth stopping in on Spokane staple for a great sandwich and a small bag of chips!

Looking for a butcher... here it is! Try the trail mix. It's amazing. Friendly and amazing service. The line can get long tho. Be prepared!

Oh Sonnenburg's....how I love thee. For over 30 years, now. It's everything all other reviewers have mentioned, and then some. We do have our favorites that we order up from their amazing butcher counter, rarely straying from what we take home. NY Ital-Sausage of course, because it's legendary, but we always grab several lbs of ground pork (for midwestern pork burgers); seasonal celebratory Prime Rib Roasts (bones 4 thru 6); and our favorite: a whole NY Strip Roast--untrimmed--to slice into steaks, usually using a third of it for a nice Sunday beef roast. They are generally $5.99lb, so try finding that at your local grocery store for better quality beef. And, I will always enjoy the rough exterior/interior/staff/patrons, along with the interesting characters hovering outside the establishment. But there isn't too much derelict dodging during mornings and early afternoon... I think there are far worse areas in downtown Spokane, where the tourists frequent...

Finally made it to this gem. Amazing meat counter, best selection I've seen. I'm not a steak guy but the filets, definitely expensive, were good. I'm more excited about the linguica and Italian sausage we bought. Bought three massive pig ears for our dogs for $3.50! To go sandwiches are great and a great deal at $5.99. Staff is really nice.

Yes it's not in a great area. But that area is a lot better than it was 20 years ago. We have been going here for all of those 20 years, at least once a month. Everyone loves their New York style sausage as do we, but our favorite is their horseradish cheddar sausage, when they have it! They rely on some guy who makes the cheese, and apparently he is subject to his own schedule, not theirs. I have no problem saying that particular sausage is, you guessed it, theee best ever! And even though people have had issues with the riff-raff that is sometimes outside the business, we've never had a problem. Having a Hubby who's 6'8" and 285 might have something to do with that lol, but honestly we just smile and treat everyone with respect and we're on our way to that great sausage!
